Although I was born in Chicago, I pretty much consider myself a California girl as I have lived here for most of my life. I feel very blessed. I have a wonderful husband, family and great friends. I'm currently living in Orange County and no doubt, it's where I'll stay. I love being active and California has the perfect weather for that.
People often ask me how I got started in this industry, so I thought I'd share it with you.
All throughout High School, I loved dancing and singing. I took Jazz, Tap and Ballet and competed every month against local dance teams. I was also very involved in Church, which is where I had the opportunity to sing almost every Sunday. After High School, I went to Cal State Fullerton for college where I started out as Dance Major. I quickly realized that if I was going to continue to dance, I didn't need a degree in it, so I switched my major to Communications with an Emphasis in Entertainment Studies. Although, I'm hardly using my degree these days, I'm so grateful for it. I had a wonderful college experience and made some of my closest friends to this day. Being part of the greatest sorority (Alpha Chi Omega!!) was the biggest reason for that.
When I graduated, I had no idea what steps to take to find a job. At the time, I was living with my Big Sis in sorority, and she suggested we go to a dance audition for an agency. After leaving the audition, they called me immediately and said they wanted to sign me. I was shocked. This was a whole new world to me. From there I started auditioning for all kinds of things and did many commercials and print work for a few years before going to my audition for "Deal or no Deal". I had no idea what it was and was skeptical about working on a game show. Nonetheless, I went to that first audition. Then I got the callback. I waited in the lobby for a good couple hours. I later heard that 26 girls were going to be picked from the 1000 that were there that day. I didn't think I had a chance in my conservative Pink skirt and black halter top. But, obviously I got the job and we shot the pilot. Little did I know, that pilot would turn into 4 Seasons and three great years of my life. I met some of my best friends and made great experiences. Everyday I stood on that stage, I was so thankful that that was my job. It was a pretty cool job to have. During my time on 'Deal, I also booked a job as a co host on a show called "Life after Film School" on Fox Movie Channel. We had the opportunity to interview producers, directors and even actors on Fox affiliated projects. I interviewed Kevin Bacon, the Farrelly Brothers, Len Wiseman….It was a great experience! To learn from these people was amazing.
Since the show has ended, I've been doing a lot of print work and kind of transitioning into a different industry. I'm studying to become a nutritionist. Being a model for so many years has really helped me to be responsible about what I put into my body and I find I like helping others with that as well. My husband and I have been busy working on his new website called Glutenfreedaily.com which is a comprehensive nutrition, fitness and entirely Gluten Free website. I'm working on a few other things as well that I promise to keep you up to date with.
I wanted to say THANK YOU to all the fans that have watched and supported me all these years. Your kind words were always uplifting and I will cherish them forever. Thanks again!
All my love,
